Lionel Messi finally scored but Inter Miami still started its Saudi Arabia preseason tour on a sour note. Messi ended a scoreless spell after two matches but Al-Hilal beat Inter Miami, 4-3, on Monday.
The Argentinian superstar delivered his first preseason goal this year off a penalty in the 54th minute. However, Al-Hilal responded behind Brazilian winger Malcolm in the 88th minute to win it for the hosts.
Messi’s fellow star teammate Luis Suarez converted his first Inter Miami goal in the 34th minute. Suarez’s goal came after Al Hilal started with a 2-0 lead behind Aleksandar Mitrovic and Abdullah Al-Hamdan in the first 13 minutes of the match.

Ruiz earned praise for his late goal and earning the penalty leading to Messi’s goal. The 18-year-old got the minutes for Inter Miami after Benjamin Cremaschi sat out due to injury.
Messi and Suarez scoring in the same match brought some memories for football fans. The two combined for 408 goals in 250 matches with La Liga in their careers.
