INDIA TO PLAY FOR ICC CHAMPIONS TROPHY WITH GOVT PERMISSION
BCCI Vice-President Rajeev Shukla said India can play for the ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan next year with government permission.
The ICC Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan from February to March 2025.
However, tense relations prevented India from playing in Hyderabad since the 2008 Asia Cup.
“In the case of the Champion’s Trophy, we will do whatever the Government of India will tell us to do,” Shukla said.
“We send our team only when the Government of India gives us permission,” he added.

Pakistan used a hybrid strategy as India’s games were held in Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup last year.
India won the tournament final that was held in Colombo.
Lahore was picked as India’s venue for next year’s Champions Trophy.
Karachi and Rawalpindi were chosen as the other venues.
PCB SENT ICC CHAMPIONS TROPHY DRAFT SCHEDULE
The PCB sent an ICC Champions Trophy draft schedule for approval, said PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
There were discussions about whether all eight participating teams would be part of the draft schedule.
Organizers will decide whether the India team will travel to Pakistan for the tournament.
Indian fans may find Lahore as an appropriate venue for the Champions Trophy next year.
Lahore is located near the Wagah border crossing between the two countries.
