MODI GETS TEAM INDIA JERSEY WITH SPECIAL NUMBER

Furthermore, Modi got his Team India jersey from Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officials on Thursday.

BCCI President Roger Binni and Secretary Jay Shah were on hand to present a “NAMO 1” jersey to Modi.

Team India members and officials visited Modi at the prime minister’s home on Thursday.

“Sir (Modi), we extend our heartfelt gratitude to you for your inspiring words and invaluable support you have provided to Team India,” the cricketer said.

Furthermore, members and officials of Team India finally arrived in New Delhi.

Moreover, fans were on hand to celebrate the country’s T20 World Cup title win.

India defeated South Africa in the final.

Moreover, the squad has been stuck in Barbados since Saturday when they defeated South Africa in the final to the roaring cheers of the crown.

Additionally, the BCCI, through Shah, arranged the flight that finally got Team India out of Barbados on Thursday morning.

SHARMA, KOHLI LEAD CELEBRATIONS OF INDIA’S VICTORY IN MUMBAI STADIUM

Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Suryakumar Yadav led team members celebrations at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Furthermore, the three led their teammates in dancing the “Chak De India” song to roaring cheers from the fans.

The team took a victory parade from Marine Drive to the iconic stadium, where a ceremony was held.

Moreover, Team India members were awarded Rs 125 crore from the BCCI.

The prize money was announced by the board moments after Team India’s T20 World Cup 2024 triumph.

The BCCI made all the arrangement of the team from their arrival in New Delhi to a visit in Mumbai on Thursday evening.

JASPRIT BUMRAH ASSURES FANS RETIREMENT ‘FAR AWAY’ FROM HIS PLAN

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah assured fans that retirement is “far away” from his long-term plans.

Furthermore, Bumrah said he would not follow the lead of Sharma, Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja.

The three all decided to retire from Twenty20 International (T20I) action.

“It (retirement) is a long way (away). I have just started,” Bumrah said.

“I am very happy that I have done well. Hopefully, it is far away now,” he added.

Moreover, Burah is grateful to learn from the team’s senior players that was shared with the team.

“I will count myself as a young lad as well. All of that (experience) is as special as that get,” Bumrah said.

On the other hand, he shared Sharma and Kohli told them that their aim was “to take Indian cricket forward and try to help the team as much as we can.”
