Palmer inks extension deal with Chelsea
Palmer, 22, joined Chelsea from Manchester City last year.
The England international finished 25 goals and provided 15 assists in 45 appearances, finishing second in Premier League scoring only to his former City teammate, Erling Haaland.
He also scored for England as a substitute in a 2-1 loss to Spain in the final.
Additionally, Palmer is one of six players shortlisted for the Professional Footballers’ Association Player of the Year.
The winner will be announced on August 20.
Chelsea decided to add another two years to Palmer’s existing deal after enjoying a successful first season at Stamford Bridge.
Palmer hopes to achieve more
Palmer was thrilled to sign the new deal with Chelsea, saying that he hopes to bring more success to Chelsea.
“I’m delighted to sign this new deal,” he said.
“I achieved a lot in my first season here.”
“And hopefully I can continue to experience great things at this club, both on a personal level and in terms of bringing success and trophies to Chelsea.”
Chelsea, now managed by Enzo Maresca, begin their Premier League season against City on Sunday.
