The doping ban imposed on Paul Pogba was reduced to 18 months following a successful appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Pogba ban reduced to 18 months
The Italy’s national anti-doping tribunal (Nado) in February suspended Pogba after a drugs test found elevated levels of testosterone in his system.
Pogba, 31, was previously handed a four-year suspension on September 2023.
Had the original ban stood, the 2018 World Cup winner would have been ineligible to play until 2027.
The France international broke his silence once the CAS granted his appeal.
“Finally the nightmare is over. I can look forward to the day when I can follow my dreams again,” he said in a statement.
“I always stated that I never knowingly breached World Anti-Doping Agency regulations when I took a nutritional supplement prescribed to me by a doctor, which does not affect or enhance the performance of male athletes.
He added: “I play with integrity and, although I must accept that this is a strict liability offence, I want to place on record my thanks to the Court of Arbitration for Sport’s judges who heard my explanation.”
“This has been a hugely distressing period in my life because everything I have worked so hard for has been put on hold.”
What happens next to Pogba
However, multiple sources have reported that Juventus is considering terminating Pogba’s contract.
ESPN stated that both Pogba and Juventus are open to the possibility of the Frenchman signing elsewhere.
He has a contract with the Serie A club until June 2026.
Pogba joined Juventus as a free agent in 2022 following his departure from Manchester United.
Since then, he has played only 12 games.
His last appearance was as a second-half substitute in a 2-0 win over Empoli more than a year ago.
