Moreover, the Italian world No.1 tallied eight aces and 22 winners to defeat Djokovic in the one-hour and 37-minute final.
Sinner limited Djokovic to just four aces and 12 winners to become the first player to win more than six titles in a season since Andy Murray’s nine in 2016.
“It was a very tough match, obviously; playing against Novak is one of the toughest challenges we have,” Sinner said.
“It’s tough to tell you a secret about (Djokovic) because he doesn’t have any weaknesses,” he added.

Moreover, Djokovic was denied of his bid to join retired legends Jimmy Connors (109) and Roger Federer (103) as the only players to win 100 or more titles.

“I think I played some really good tennis, but congratulations to Jannik (Sinner),” Djokovic said.

The 37-year-old also lost to Sinner in the Australian Open semifinals, but he was playing in China for the first time in five years.
SEBASTIAN KORDA UNDERGOES ELBOW SURGERY, OUT INDEFINITELY
Meanwhile, Sebastian Korda underwent elbow surgery, which forced him to stay out of playing indefinitely.
