OSAKA MAKES BIGGEST JUMP AMONG WOMEN’S PRO TENNIS PLAYERS THIS YEAR

Osaka makes the biggest jump among the women’s top professional tennis players this year.

Furthermore, the 27-year-old Japanese star came out from being unranked at the start of the year to even barge into the top 60.

Moreover, Osaka’s No.59 ranking validates her hard work in the comeback trail, as she played her first full season since being sidelined to become a mother.

The former world No.1 reached no higher than the second round in three of the four Grand Slams she participated in.

Osaka reached the quarterfinals at the Qatar Ladies Opoen and in Hertogenbosch, Netherlands, for her highest placing this year.

Moreover, Tomljanovic moved 464 places up from No.549 to No.85, while Anisimova rose 323 positions from No.359 to No.36.

Lulu Sun also made the leap 179 posts from No.219 to No.40.

Carolina Wozniacki rose 164 places from No.236 to No.72.

Wozniacki, like Osaka, is on a comeback tour after being sidelined due to motherhood.

Moreover, Navarro rose 30 spots from Np.38 to No.8.

Anna Kalinskaya improved 63 places from No.77 to No.14.

That was the biggest jump from a player who barged into the top 20.
