Pulisic in talks over new AC Milan contract
Talks over a new contract underscore Pulisic’s impact at the club, his consistent form, and Milan’s confidence in him.
According to Fabrizio Romano, AC Milan expects the forward to sign a new deal running until 2028, with an option to extend through 2029.
With his current contract set to expire in June 2027, Milan is eager to secure his long-term future.
The 26-year-old joined Milan on a four-year deal in July 2023 after spells with Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund.
Silver lining this season
AC Milan has endured a disappointing campaign so far.
The 19-time Italian champions sit eighth in Serie A, 14 points behind league-leading rivals Inter Milan.
Milan fired Paulo Fonseca earlier in the season after a poor start, replacing him with Sergio Conceição.
The Portuguese manager won the Supercoppa Italiana within his first few days in charge, but the team also crashed out of the Champions League knockout stage.
Despite their struggles, Pulisic has been a standout for Milan.
He is the first Milan player to score 15 or more goals in all competitions in each of his first two seasons since Zlatan Ibrahimovic in 2010-11 and 2011-12.
The USMNT captain matched his career-best goal tally for a season with his 15th goal of the campaign in Milan’s 2-1 win over Como on Saturday.
Pulisic returns to USMNT action this month as the United States faces Panama in the Concacaf Nations League semifinals.
