India to host West Indies, S. Africa Tests as BCCI unveils schedule

Expect India to host West Indies and South Africa Tests after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) unveiled a new schedule.

INDIA TO HOST WEST INDIES, SOUTH AFRICA TEST SERIES UNDER NEW BCCI SCHEDULE

Expect India to host West Indies and South Africa in separate Test series that was announced by the BCCI.

Furthermore, India will begin its home season with the first of a two-match Test series against West Indies at Ahmedabad on October 2.

Moreover, Kolkata will host the second Test on October 10.

An all-format series will follow for Team India, this time against South Africa, with the first Test to begin on November 14 in New Delhi.

There will be no long rest periods for India, which will host South Africa across all three formats after the West Indies series.

GUWAHATI MAKES HOSTING DEBUT FOR INDIA IN SECOND TEST IN NOVEMBER

Guwahati will make its hosting debut when it stages India’s second Test against South Africa from November 22 onwards.

Moreover, India will also battle South Africa in a three-match ODI (One-Day International) series and a five-match T2OI (Twenty20 International) series in December.

Furthermore, the final of that series will be staged in Ahmedabad, while the ODI will begin at Ranchi from November 30 onwards.

Raipur and Vizakhapatnam will host the second and third ODIs on December 3 and 6, respectively.

“The Board of Control for Cricket in India is pleased to announce the schedule for Team India (Senior Men) international home season for 2025,” the BCCI said in a statement.

CUTTACK, MULLANPUR, THREE OTHER VENUES TO HOST T2OIs

The BCCI has decided to spread the five T2OI Test series against South Africa in five different areas.

Furthermore, Cuttack gets the first shot to stage the first T2OI o December 9, followed by Mullanpur on on December 11, and Dharamsala on December 14.

Moreover, Lucknow will host the fourth T2OI Test on December 17, before Ahmedabad winds up the series on December 19.

All ODIs are night fixtures that start at 1:30 pm IST, while the T2OIs are night matches set at 7pm IST.

Meanwhile, the BCCI will also be busy in preparations for hosting the Women’s ODI World Cup for this home season.
