BRIGHTON VS LIVERPOOL MATCH HAS SEAGULLS BEATING REDS BEHIND MITOMA, HINSHELWOOD

The Brighton vs Liverpool match has the Seagulls beating the Reds behind Kaoru Mitoma and Jack Hinshelwood scoring key goals.

Furthermore, The Seagulls overcame 1-0 and 2-1 deficits to move three points ahead of Brentford and up eighth place in the table.

Moreover, Brighton can play in European football next season if Chelsea win the Conference League.

“Coming off the bench, I wanted to come into the game and make a great impact and work my hardest,” Hinshelwood said.

“I think the ball comes across and it sat up perfectly and I tapped it in. There was a nervous wait until the goal was allowed, but when it was allowed it was pure relief,” he added.

HINSHELWOOD MATCH WINNER DOES IT FOR SEAGULLS

Hinshelwood converted a match winner off a Matt O’Riley’s cross in the 85th minute after it passed a video assistant referee heck in the 85th minute.

Moreover, the 20-year-old substitute midfielder was the fourth-fastest by a reserve in the Premier League this season.

Furthermore, Dominik Szoboszlai dropped an impressive cross shot over Brighton goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen to make it 2-1 for Liverpool at the break.

However, Japanese winger Mitoma responded with an equalizer in the 69th minute to tie the match before Hinshelwood’s shot.

Brighton would need to beat Tottenham on Sunday and hope Chelsea loses to Nottingham Forest also on that same day.

SLOT RUES LIVERPOOL’S CHANCE TO SNATCH WIN AFTER TAKING 2-1 LEAD

Coach Arne Slot rued Liverpool’s chance to snatch the win after Szoboszlai’s shot.

Furthermore, the Reds manager admitted waiting for his team to score a third goal in the second half but fell short.

Moreover, Slot lauded a “great game” by both teams “but not the result we wanted.”

“Momentum changed in the game and I waited for us to score the third, that would have killed the game but they made it 2-2,” Slot told the BBC.

“We played eighth in the Premier League and they were able to bring in Mitoma. That shows you about the strength of this league,” he added.
