The four losing quarter-finalists of the AFC Futsal Asian Cup Thailand 2024 will get another crack at securing a spot at the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2024, following Uzbekistan’s progress to the semi-finals on Wednesday.

Thailand – who earned a hard-fought 2-1 win over Iraq – will meet Tajikistan, who edged debutants Afghanistan 2-1 to make the continental semi-finals and FIFA Futsal World Cup for the first time.
The only one-sided clash happened between the 12-time winners Islamic Republic of Iran and Kyrgyz Republic, with a dominant 6-1 result to set up a last-four showdown with Uzbekistan on Friday.

Iran, Tajikistan, and Thailand have booked their tickets to the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2024, while Uzbekistan, as the hosts, has already been assured of its spot.

With Asia allocated four qualifying spots at the FIFA Futsal World Cup Uzbekistan 2024, one place remains available, and this will be decided via playoffs involving the four losing quarter-finalists.
The playoffs—to be played on Friday—will see Iraq face Afghanistan, while Vietnam will take on the Kyrgyz Republic.
The two winners will then face off with the victors to be Asia’s fourth representatives at the FIFA Futsal World Cup Uzbekistan 2024.
