Alcaraz “needs to schedule” his busy 2025 tennis calendar, says Roddick, to manage the wear and tear of his body.
Furthermore, the 42-year-old American retired tennis player cited the need for for the Spaniard “to disappoint” some people regarding his playing schedule.
Moreover, Roddick urged the Spanish world No.3 to “learn how to say no” and pace his body.
“He (Alcaraz) is sort of at the point where he doesn’t want to disappoint anyone, and that’s a tough situation it really is,” Roddick said on his “Served with Andy Roddick” podcast.
“He’s going to have to learn how to schedule, how to say no, maybe slightly disappoint someone, sometimes to keep his sanity over time,” he added.

Moreover, the 2003 US Open champion gamely answered “a million questions” Alcaraz asked him as well.
“It was great, we talked, he (Alcaraz) asked a million questions. He’s fully aware of what he is now,” Roddick said.
“He’s one of the biggest global sports stars we have, he’s the celebrity in the room amongst sports celebrities,” he added.
Alcaraz won four titles overall, which also includes a fifth Masters 1000 title and Indian Wells for the second-straight year.
