What happened to AC Milan?
AC Milan gained momentum when Christian Pulisic opened the scoring after just three minutes.
However, Paulo Fonseca’s side quickly faltered after Liverpool completed the comeback within 41 minutes.
The Reds sealed the win with a third goal in the second half, as Milan continues to struggle this season.
After the game, Milan players were met with loud boos from the San Siro crowd.
Some fans started to sing “Show some balls” with the squad still on the pitch.
Other Milan fans had already left the stadium before the final whistle.
Morata on boos from AC Milan fans
Morata, 32, said he does not blame the fans for booing them.
In fact, the Spain international admitted that they conceded three goals without any fightback, which understandably frustrated the home crowd.
“We have to respect what the fans say, because they pay to attend the games and it is our job to play. However, we cannot hurt ourselves too much, because we have another very important match coming up this weekend,” replied Morata.
“It is not a problem caused by attitude or tactics, football is just like this. We conceded two goals from set plays, we could’ve scored from those situations instead. We have training tomorrow morning, another fundamental match this weekend and we have to keep going.”
