CHALLENGE TO GUIDE RCB TO TITLE EXCITES FLOWER
Flower expressed his excitement about the challenge to guide RCB to win the 2024 IPL season.
He was hired after completing a stint with the Lucknow Super Giants.
The 55-year-old Zimbabwean coach knows that RCB is one of four franchises yet to win an IPL championship.
“It gives me a very exciting opportunity to see if we can do something special with RCB. We have got a really exciting group of players,” Flower told the Hindustan Times.
“I’m really excited about the challenge (of giving RCB its first IPL title.). It is one of the main reasons I wanted to take this job,” he added.
FLOWER WANTS ‘ATTACKING’ RCB APPROACH TO REACH GOAL
Flower is out to develop RCB into an attacking squad if the team wants to go a deep run into the IPL playoffs.
“We will attack the game, and that will give us a really good chance of getting through to playoffs,” the RCB coach said.
Flowers cited the need to develop a positive “attitude to train” and the “determination to do well” to reach their goals.
“So, I think simplifying and chunking down the challenges in front is a really important process for us,” he said.
