Gabriel out for the rest of season
The north London club confirmed Gabriel’s injury status.
Gabriel went out in the 16th minute of Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Fulham on Tuesday.
Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta admitted that he became “worried” about the Brazil international.
The north London club confirmed that Gabriel will undergo surgery for his hamstring injury, which will sideline him for the rest of season.

“Gabi will undergo a surgical repair procedure to his hamstring in the coming days, and immediately begin his recovery and rehabilitation programme, with the aim to be ready for the start of next season,” the club said in a statement.
“Everyone at the club will be fully focused on supporting Gabi to ensure he is back to full fitness as soon as possible.”
Another injury setback
The centre-back’s injury adds to a growing list of setbacks suffered by some of Arsenal’s key players.
Forwards Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus are also missing for the rest of a campaign.
Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Ben White, and Gabriel Martinelli have all spent extended periods on the sidelines due to injury.

Arsenal will visit Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday before hosting Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal on April 8.
