Aston Villa coach Emery says “we want more”
Aston Villa marched into the Champions League quarterfinals with an easy 3-0 win over 10-man Club Brugge in their last-16 second leg.
Marco Asensio came off the bench and scored a brace in the second half, while Ian Maatsen side-footed in Villa’s second goal.
Despite the victory, Emery insists that his team wants to achieve more in the European competition.

“We are in this level, we have to be proud, but we want more,”
“We want to compete against the best teams in the world. Now our priority is to try to be close to the level we are facing.”
Ready for PSG
Emery, who was PSG coach from 2016-18, said PSG would be formidable opponents for them.
The French champion recently defeated Premier League leaders Liverpool on penalty shootout.
“Of course to play a quarterfinal is fantastic, we are very excited, very motivated,” he said.
“To play against PSG is very difficult. They showed their capacity playing against Liverpool, the best team in the Premier League, the best team in Europe until yesterday.”

Emery, a four-time Europa League winner, was disappointed with Villa’s first half against Brugge, failing to score despite a red card for the visitors.
However, Villa turned it around after the break, scoring three goals to secure a 6-1 aggregate victory.
“I’m very happy how we competed over the two matches,” he said.
