O’Reilly was a major piece for Pep Guardiola’s plans even as the spotlight focused on Erling Haaland and Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush.
Moreover, the midfielder was given specific instructions by Guardiola ans he simply executed what he was told.
Furthermore, O’Reilly is not taking what his City manager’s words to him for granted.
“My instructions were to get involved as much as I can. It was good to get the contributions with the two assists – I was buzzing,” O’Reilly told BBC.
“I’m grateful for the opportunities I get from the manager and playing with the best players that are out there,” he added.

HAALAND INJURY CLOUDS CITY’S BIG WIN
A Haaland injury dampened some of the shine in City’s big win.
