BROOK MOVES UP TO NO.2 BEHIND ROOT IN ICC TEST BATTERS’ TABLE
Brook moves up to No.2 behind Root in the ICC Test batters’ table that was reported by ESPNCricinfo on Wednesday.
Furthermore, the 25-year-old English batter rose in the list after getting 171 in the first innings in England’s win over New Zealand in Christchurch.
Moreover, Brook improved to two positions to second place and just 41 rating points behind No.1 Root.
Root was 0 and 23 not out in the same game.
Additionally, Yashasvi Jaswal of India, who moved to second after his 161 in India’s Perth Test win, dropped to No.4 in the ICC rankings.
WILLIAMSON STAYS AT THIRD PLACE; MITCHELL AT NO.5
Moreover, New Zealand’s Kane Williamson stayed in third place after he scored 93 and 61 in Christchurch.
Daryl Mitchell is at fifth with a 753 rating to round out the top five.
Meanwhile, Marco Jansen made the biggest move to 19 spots to ninth on the bowlers’ table after he had returns of 7 for 13 and 4-for-73.
Those numbers made him Player of the Match in Durban.
Jansen also rose to second place behind India’s Ravindra Jadeja on the all-rounders’ table.
