BUMRAH, MANDHANA HONORED IN WISDEN CRICKETERS’ ALMANACK LIST
Bumrah and Mandhana were honored in Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack list for his exploits as India’s all-formats fast bowler.
Furthermore, the 31-year-old right-arm fast bowler was named as the Leading Men’s Cricketer in the World.
Moreover, he became the first Test bowler in history to claim 200 wickets at an average of less than 20 each.
Bumrah was described by Wisden editor Lawrence Booth as “quite simply the star of the year.”
He led India to win the T20 World Cup in the Caribbean in June after claiming 71 Test wickets at less than 15 each.

The Wisden editor hailed Bumrah’s highlights in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia, where he led India’s attack with 32 wickets at 13.06.
Moreover, Booth described Bumrah as “forming a symphony that runs scored off him should have counted double.”
Furthermore, the editor hailed the Indian cricketer for his versatility and aggressive attacking style.
“He (Bumrah) so lethal, so uniquely challenging,” Bumrah said.
“He (Bumrah) laid claim to be considered the greatest of all time,” he added.

MANDHANA PRAISED AS WISDEN’S LEADING WOMEN’S CRICKETER IN THE WORLD
Mandhana was praised as Wisden’s leading Women’s Cricketer in the World.”
Furthermore, the 28-year-old right-arm medium bowler scored 1659 runs across formats in 2024.
Moreover, the number was the most for a female cricketer in a calendar year of international cricket, including four ODI (One-Day International) hundreds, which was another record.
Mandhana also recorded a second Test century 140 to cap her impressive stint in a 10-wicket victory over South Africa in June.
