The Ineous group of Sir Jim Ratcliffe has yet to decide on the fate of ten Hag, ESPN sources said. However, Brighton head coach De Zerbi, England manager Southgate, and Brentford head coach Thomas Frank have been floated as possible successors.
INEOUS GROUP STILL UNDECIDED ON TEN HAG’S FUTURE
United is mapping out a contingency plan to prepare for ten Hag’s possible departure from the club. Liverpool, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona are seeking to name a new manager before the summer.
United now sit 11 points adrift of fourth-placed Aston Villa. The club has lost successive Premier League matches against Fulham and Manchester City.
GERMAN CLUBS INTERESTED IN TEN HAG
Ten Hag is not expected to be jobless for a long time should he decide to leave United.
The Dutch manager continues to generate major interest in Germany, sources said. Ten Hag is reportedly being eyed by Bayer Leverkusen and Vfb Stuttgart.
Ten Hag signed with United from Ajax in June 2022 on a three-year contract. United has an option of an additional 12 months to keep the Dutch manager.
