Moreover, Eala made a huge improvement from her past No.140 ranking, after she reached the semifinals of the Miami Open 2025.
She’s also the second highest-ranked teenager in the list after 17-year-old Russian Mirra Andreeva, who’s at No,.7.
Eala also became the first player from the Philippines to ever break into the top 100 since the WTA rankings began in 1975.
FAIRYTALE RUN AT MIAMI OPEN BOOSTS EALA; FILIPINO GETS SLOT TO FRENCH OPEN
The fairytale run at the Miami Open last week did it for Eala, who also placed in the semifinal for the first time at a WTA 1000 event.
Moreover, the Filipina toppled former champions Jelena Ostapenko, No.5 Madison Keys, and No.2 Iga Swiatek to endear her to fans.
Furthermore, Eala gave American Jessica Pegula all she could handle in a two-hour and 26 minute semifinal match before losing.
Current world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka won the final by defeating Pegula on Saturday.
Meanwhile, British player Emma Raducanu returned to the top 50 from No.60 to No,48 after reaching the quarterfinals in Miami.

Moreover, Mensik’s epic victory over Serbian superstar Novak Djokokovic in the final capped a whirlwind run in South Florida that was greatly rewarded in the rankings.
Another youngster also made great strides after Miami, as Arthur Fils finally entered the top 15.
