GAMBHIR CALLS FOR INDIA BOYCOTT OF ALL CRICKET MATCHES AGAINST PAKISTAN
Gambhir calls for India to boycott all future cricket matches against Pakistan amid the Pahalgam terror attack late last month.
Furthermore, the India men’s cricket team head coach is convinced India should not play Pakistan until all cross-border terrorism comes to an end.
Moreover, Gambhir believes India should stay away from Pakistan matches even if these are for the Asian Cup or any ICC (International Cricket Council) events.
“My personal answer to this is absolutely no. Till all this (cross-border terrorism) doesn’t stop there should not be anything between India and Pakistan,” the coach said.
“Ultimately this is government’s call whether we play them or not,” he added.
INDIA SUSPENDS INDUS WATERS TREATY, OTHER SEVERAL MEASURES VS PAKISTAN
India suspended the Indus Waters Treaty as part of other several measures imposed against Pakistan.
Moreover, New Delhi also shut down its only land border crossing at Attari and downgraded diplomatic ties amid cross-border links to the attack.
Furthermore, the India coach values punishment for those responsible for losing a “loved one in your family” after the attacks.
“I have said this before also, no cricket match or Bollywood or any other interaction is more important than the life of Indian soldiers and Indian citizens,” Gambhir said.
“Matches will keep happening, movies will be made, singers will continue to perform but nothing comes close to losing a loved one in your family,” he added.

INDIA VS PAKISTAN ASIA CUP MATCHUP UP TO BCCI TO DECIDE, SAYS COACH
A possible India vs Pakistan matchup at the Asia Cup will have to be decided by the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India), says Gambhir.
Furthermore, the BCCI earier slammed Pakistan for its role in the Pahalgam terror attacks.
Moreover, the India coach will leave it to the BCCI and the Indian government if his team will also play Pakistan at the T20 (Twenty20) World Cup to be co-hodted by India and Sri Lanka next year.
“This is not up to me, this is for BCCI and more importantly the government to decide whether we should play them or not,” Gambhir said.
“”Whatever decision they make, we should be absolutely fine with it and not politicise it,” he added.
