Kane goes down with an ankle injury
England will host Brazil and Belgium in their upcoming friendlies at Wembley Stadium.
Kane, 30, suffered the ankle injury when he collided with the goalpost in Bayern’s 5-2 win over Darmstadt.
“The striker has still traveled to international duty with England and will be treated by the team doctors there, in close consultation with the FC Bayern medical department,” said a statement from the Bundesliga side.
Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel also confirmed that the 30-year-old striker twisted his ankle.
“He stumbled and fell in the net and twisted his ankle,” said Tuchel. “He is cooling it now with ice. There is no diagnosis yet. We have to wait and see and hope it is just a scary moment. Overall, we are happy with a deserved win. We kept creating chances, and we deserved the goals we scored.”
Historic Bundesliga debut
Elsewhere, Kane tallied his 31st goal this season before sustaining an ankle problem.
The England captain’s 31 overall goals set a new record for the most goals in a Bundesliga debut campaign.
“Proud to break a Bundesliga record but more importantly another good win,” Kane wrote on his X account (formerly Twitter).
“When Harry goes off it’s never a good sign because Harry never goes off when there’s still goals to score,” added Tuchel.
