The superstar forward led PSG to a French Cup title after a 2-1 win over Lyon in the final on Saturday.
When reporters asked why Mbappe has yet to reveal his next club, he said he will announce it “in a few days”.
“Because I think the best thing to do is to finish saying goodbye,” said the France captain.
“All I wanted was to finish well. There is a time for everything. I will announce my new club in due course. It will be only a few days away so there is no problem.”
Mbappe did not disclose if he will make his transfer official right before the national team prepares for the upcoming EURO 2024.
“I still don’t know, there are still some details. The most important thing was to win and to experience these final emotions.”
The 25-year old is expected to join Real Madrid after confirming that he will leave PSG after the season.
Mbappe bids farewell to PSG
Mbappe arrived at Parc des Princes on loan in 2018 following a three-year stint with Monaco.
After officially signing with PSG, Mbappe established himself as one of the best footballers in the world.
Now, Mbappe is set to embark on a new journey outside of PSG.
“Nostalgia, emotion; It was cool. I always understood where I was, this unique experience of playing for PSG. Playing for PSG, I would recommend it,” he said.
“I was lucky enough to experience it. What I have had, I wouldn’t experience anywhere else. Now I’m going to experience something else and I’m sure that will be magical too.”
