BRACEWELL TO PLAY AFTER RECOVERING FROM ACHILLES INJURY
Bracewell is making a comeback after last playing for New Zealand in March last year, ESPNcricinfo reported.
The 33-year-old all-rounder sustained an Achilles injury while playing for Worcestershire in the T20 Blast in June
He was also sidelined with a broken finger that delayed his return to action.
Bracewell recently tallied a career-best 8-for-41 in the Plunket Shield.
“Michael (Bracewell) has faced a long period on the sideline and it’s exciting to see him back playing again,” selector Sam Wells said.
TIM ROBINSON TO MAKE DEBUT; O’ROURKE ALSO ADDED
Uncapped batter Tim Robinson is set to make his T201 debut, while fast bowler Will O’Rourke was also selected.
The 21-year-old Robinson emerged as the second-leading run-scorer in the Super Smash with 298 runs at 59.60 at a strike rate of 187.42.
“Tim is still very early in his domestic career but his natural ability and explosive power was on full display this season,” Wells said.
O’Rourke made his Test and ODI debuts earlier this season.
“We’ve been delighted with Will’s early efforts in international cricket, in both the formats he’s played so far,” Wells added.
