RAVINDRA CITED FOR ODI WORLD CUP EXPLOITS
The 24-year-old all-rounder collected 578 runs at an average of 64 to star in the ODI World Cup in India recently.
Ravindra also tallied three centuries and two half-centuries, including an unbeaten 123 in the tournament opener against England last year.
The New Zealand native was also named the ICC Emerging Player of the Year 2023. He also secured a lucrative deal with the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League.
MELIE KERR, KANE WILLIAMSON ALSO HONORED
Melie Kerr emerged as Ravindra’s counterpart after she won as a female cricketer of the year at the New Zealand Cricket Awards.
Kerr then took home the Debbie Hockey Medal after being honored as ANZ ODI and T20I Player of the Year. She was also named the Dream11 Super Smash Women’s Player of the Year.
Kane Williamson, meanwhile, was the recipient of the ANZ Test Player of the Year Award. He also took home the Redpath Cup for first-class batting.
