RAHUL ‘BACK TO ENJOYING MY CRICKET’ IN IPL FOR DELHI CAPITALS

Rahul is “back to enjoying my cricket” in the IPL for Delhi Capitals (DC) as he is coming off a paternity leave.

Furthermore, the 32-year-old Indian wicketkeeper-batter is putting up a new approach to the game after his 77 performance against the Chennai Super Kings on Saturday.

Moreover, Rahul hit 15 in his first game that came off five balls, and Saturdays match came off 51 balls.

“I’ve worked really hard on my white-ball game the last year or so. Big shoutout to Abhishek Nayar,” Rahul said, referring to the revered Indian pacer.

‘HOURS AND HOURS’ WORKING ON WHITE-BALL GAME PAYS OFF FOR RAHUL

Rahul recalled that he worked “hours and hours” with Abhishek on his white-ball game and it’s been paying off.

Moreover, the veteran batter already made progress while playing for Team India in their Champions Trophy 2025 title run,

Furthermore, he scored 140 runs at a strike rate of 97.90, while having three unbeaten innings out of the four times he went out.

“We’ve spent hours and hours together talking about my white-ball game and how I can be better,” Rahul said.

“We worked hours and hours together in Bombay and somewhere I have found the fun playing white-ball cricket,” he added.

BUMRAH SET FOR IPL RETURN AFTER RECOVERING FROM BACK INJURY

Meanwhile, Bumrah is set for an IPL return as he recovers from his back injury.

Furthermore, the 31-year-old bowler is ready for his IPL comeback with the Mumbai Indians in their match against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Monday.

Moreover, Indians’ coach Mahela Jayawardene confirmed Bumrah’s availability, citing the bowler’s sessions with India’s National Cricket Academy (NCA).

He (Bumrah) is training today and should be available. He arrived ast nigt (Sunday),” the coach said.

“He had his sessions with the NCA to finalize that. He;s been handed over to our physios. He’s bowling today, so all good,” he added.
