Sinner adds two new trainers; Osaka, coach part ways

Jannik Sinner adds two new trainers on Monday, following a previous doping case in which he avoided a suspension from the US Open.

SINNER ADDS TWO NEW TRAINERS IN LIGHT OF POSITIVE TESTS IN MARCH

Furthermore, Sinner adds two new trainers in light of positive tests in March where he avoided suspension from the US Open.

Moreover, the world No.1 welcomed Marco Panichi as a fitness coach and Ulises Badio as a physiotherapist to his team.

Incidentally, Panichi and Badio were previous members of former world No.1 Novak Djokovic’s team.

Sinner kept Andrea Cipolla as osteopath.

“Welcome to the team, Marco and Ulises,” Sinner wrote on social media.

OSAKA, COACH PART WAYS

Moreover, Naomi Osaka and coach Wim Fissette have parted ways.

The announcement was made in the aftermath of the American’s disappointing US Open stint.

Furthermore, the former world No.1 confirmed that she no longer has Fissette as her coach.

This was in light of her second-round exit at Flushing Meadows.

The announcement marked the second time Osaka and Fissette have parted ways.

On the other hand, the 26-year-old world No.75 was with the Belgian coach when she won two of her four Grand Slam titles.

Osaka won the 2020 USD Open and the 2021 Australian Open under Fissette.

ONS JABEUR DOWNED BY SHOULDER INJURY, TO MISS WHOLE 2024 SEASON

Meanwhile, Ons Jabeur has been downed by a nagging shoulder injury that will force her to miss the whole 2024 season.

Furthermore, the 30-year-old missed the Paris Olympics due to fitness issues.

Aside from her shoulder injury, Jabeur also has concerns over her knee, which had her slip to world No.22 in the rankings.

“This year has been extremely hard for me, and as athletes, we know that recovery is part of the journey,” Jabeur said.

“My medical team and I have made the difficult decision to step off the tennis circuit for the rest of the season,” she added.

The former world No.2 hopes to return to play in Australia early next year.

She will be keeping herself busy with charitable projects during her recovery period.
