SINNER TOPS ALCARAZ TO WIN SIX KINGS SLAM TITLE

Sinner tops Alcaraz, 6-7(5), 6-3, 6-3, to win the Six Kings Slam exhibition tournament title over the weekend in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Furthermore, the Italian world no. 1 finally beat the Spanish world no. 2 after losing three previous meetings this season.

Moreover, Alcaraz holds a 6-4 edge in his head-to-head matchup against Sinner.

Sinner collected USD6 million for beating Alcaraz.

The winners of all four majors this year vowed to sustain their rivalry for many years.

“Until now, every match was very, very good, but we will always hope this rivalry will last as long as possible,” Sinner said.

“I will try to do my best every day… to hopefully make this rivalry better and better over the years,” Alcaraz added.

DJOKOVIC BEATS NADAL TO TAKE THIRD PLACE; SERBIAN TO MISS RETIRING RIVAL

Moreover, Djokovic beat Nadal 6-2, 7-6,(5) to take third place.

The Serbian later said that he will miss his long-time rival.

Furthermore, the 24-time Grand Slam winner shared a warm embrace at the end of the match.

Djokovic improved 31-29 in his head-to-head matchup against Nadal.

“The last dance was an epic one. And, of course, emotional,” Djokovic wrote on social media.

“I’ll cherish our rivalry forever, (Rafael Nadal). Tennis will miss you,” he added.

Nadal announced last week that he will retire before the end of the 2024 season, with the Davis Cup in Malaga next month as his last tournament.

RAFA TO PLAY ONLY IN DAVIS CUP SINGLES IF ‘100% SURE’ HE CAN WIN

Meanwhile Nadal clarified that he will only play in the Davis Cup men’s singles if he is “100% sure” he can win a match.

Furthermore, the 22-time Grand Slam winner is not pushing himself to play in Malaga in the November 19-21 tournament if he’s not physically ready.

“If I don’t feel ready for the singles, I’ll be the first one to say,” Nadal said.

“Be 100% sure I will not be on the court if I don’t feel ready to win my match,” he added.

Moreover, the 38-year-old Spanish legend is open to partnering with Alcaraz in the men’s doubles if necessary.

“He (Alcaraz) is going to do very well with what he’s got. He’s learning all the time,” Nadal said of the 21-year-old Alcaraz.

“We can see he’s developing in every way. But of course, I’ll be ready whenever he wants to call me,” he added.
