SIRAJ, HEAD TO FACE ICC PENALTIES AFTER HEATED SPAT IN ADELAIDE TEST

Expect Siraj and Head to face ICC penalties after their heated spat marred their teams’ second Test in Adelaide recently.

Australia beat India by 10 wickets in the pink-ball Test match.

This levelled to 1-1 their five-match series in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.

Furthermore, Siraj instigated the spat when the Indian pacer gave a fiery send-off to Head.

This, after he dismissed him on 140 of 141 balls with a low full-toss.

Moreover, Siraj gave a death stare that prompted Head to hurl a mouthful that resulted in a heated exchange.

This lead the ICC (International Cricket Council) to impose disciplinary action against the two cricketers.

Both players are also expected to face a disciplinary hearing to address the issue.

NO SUSPENSIONS SEEN ON BOTH PLAYERS DUE TO LOW PUNISHMENT UNDER ICC’S CODE OF CONDUCT

Moreover, no suspensions would be seen on both players.

Audible infractions only carry a lower punishment in the ICC’s Code of Conduct.

Furthermore, former Test captain Michael Clarke has called on the ICC to sanction Siraj.

This, as Clarke insisted that Siraj continues to disrespect umpires by not bothering to turn around and appeal.

“I’m surprised the ICC haven’t fined him (Siraj) because I remember when I was playing, you get fined every time,” Clarke said.

“Brett Lee was the worst at it and they told him, ‘I you don’t turn around and ask the umpire, you’re going to be fined.'” he added.

NO BAD BLOOD AGAINST SIRAJ, HEAD CLAIMS, AS THE TWO SORT OUT DIFFERENCES

Furthermore, there was no bad blood between Head and Siraj, the Australian batter claimed.

The two cricketers took the effort to sort out their differences.

Moreover, Head and Siraj talked on Day 3 of their Test series and asked the Indian pacer why he abused him.

“Sweet with it. He (Siraj) came out and just (it was) a little bit of misunderstanding… I think we’ll move on,” Head told ABC Sports.

“We’ve had a great week, so let’s not let it ruin it,” he added.
