ENGLAND ‘MASSIVELY EVOLVED’ ON INDIA TOUR, SAYS STOKES
The 32-year-old English all-rounder remains convinced he and his teammates continue to improve despite falling in the fourth Test in Ranchi. Stokes insisted England’s progress didn’t go backward in India.
“The individuals and the team have massively evolved on this tour. Progression doesn’t always show itself with the results,” the English skipper said. “Well, it’s like whenever we play. We want to win this week.”
“All you can do is try your nuts off in the nets because that’s where you get better,” he added.
STOKES INSISTS ENGLAND’S MINDSET REMAINS THE SAME
Stokes cited his teammates’ honor to play for England, which he said is always “special” regardless of the result.
“That’s just our mentality and our mindset, regardless of where you are, or how long you’ve been away,” the captain said. “But that shouldn’t take away from the fact that this place (India) is pretty special.”
Stokes assures his team will still go all out in the fifth and final Test match in Dharamsala regardless of the 1-3 deficit.
