Ivan Toney returned from his eight-month ban and helped Brentford secure a 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest.
Toney, 27, only took 19 minutes to score his first goal in 266 days, converting a free kick to make it a 1-1 contest.
The English striker served his eight-month ban after breaching Football Association gambling rules.
However, Toney’s free-kick goal became controversial, particularly on Forest’s side.
Toney moved the ball twice into an advantageous position and even manipulated some of the foam from the referee’s spray.
Nonetheless, Toney is grateful to be suiting up with Brentford again.
“It means a lot. It’s been a long time coming,” he said.
“I manifested this during the time that I was out and I’m here now and I’m just buzzing to be back scoring and playing with the team.”
With the win, Brentford up to 14th, two places and two points above Forest.
This also marked Brentford’s first win since December 2.
Toney is undoubtedly Brentford’s go-to striker, scoring 20 of their 58 goals in the Premier League.
“I’m grateful to be back playing with the lads, I’ve missed it so much,” he said.
“The fans, everyone. Yeah, I’m back, I’m back.”
