RATCLIFFE’S INEOS GROUP SEEKS O’NEILL TALKS FOR COACHING ROLE
O’Neill is being considered by United under Sim Jim Ratcliffe’s Ineos group, sources said.
Ineos director of sport Sir Dave Brailsford, said United’s new regime is looking at a new coaching structure led by a head coach.
The 40-year-old Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach was made aware of United’s interest in his services, sources told ESPN.
O’Neill signed a three-year contract with Wolverhampton last summer.
United may have to pay the Wanderers for compensation if the club succeeds in luring O’Neil to join a new club.

O’Neill is the latest figure to be linked as a possible new United coach.
The club has already assessed England manager Gareth Southgate, Brighton Boss Roberto De Zerbi, and Brentford’s Thomas Frank.
United has yet to make a final and official decision on the future of its current manager Erik ten Hag.
United’s possible offer for O’Neill remains unknown, sources said.
