Player news
The upcoming series will see the return of all the top players from India who were given a rest after the challenging ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022.
Everyone except Ravindra Jadeja will be available, who is yet to recover from his injury.Â
Yuzvendra Chahal, who leads in most ODI wickets this year and would have been a fantastic option on Bangladesh’s turning surfaces, has surprisingly been left out.
Shreyas Iyer has been the in-form batter for India in the ODIs and he has looked in great touch whenever he has got an opportunity.
The right-hander is likely to come in at number four and he will have the chance to seal his spot for the next World Cup 2023.
Despite having troubles with the short ball, Iyer averages close to 50 in the format. Â
For Bangladesh, Litton Das has scored the most runs in ODIs this year with 500 runs in 10 games at an average of 62.50.
With 408 runs at an average of 79.68, captain Tamim Iqbal has also been in fine form.
Afif Hossain (335 runs) and Mamudullah (299) are also in good nick.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz has taken the most wickets in bowling with 20 over the course of 12 games.

Bangladesh is a formidable side at home and has some exciting young talent as well.
The Indian side is packed with many great batters but their bowling is a worry.
As Bangladesh have the home advantage, we expect them to pip India in the 1st ODI.
