India will take on Bangladesh in the second fixture of the three-match ODI series on Wednesday, December 07.
Bangladesh beat India by one wicket thanks to Mehidy Hasan Miraz’s unbeaten 38-run innings.
India will want to win the second game to prevent losing the series.
Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan opened the batting for team India but could not provide a good start.
Rohit Sharma scored 27 runs. The other major Indian batter, Virat Kohli scored just 9.
KL Rahul was the highest run-scorer with 73 runs off 70 balls with the help of five boundaries and four huge sixes.
The rest of batters fell cheaply. Shreyas Iyer had 24 runs to his and Washington Sundar could manage to score just 19 runs.
No other Indian batsman could enter double figures.
Shahbaz Ahmed and Deepak Chahar failed to open the accounts as India folded up for 186 in 42.1 overs.
This was a sub par total and Bangladesh had an attack of nerves before finally nailing the chase.
The skipper, Litton Das was the highest run-scorer from their side scoring 41 runs on 63 balls with the help of three boundaries and one huge six.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz also had an outstanding match and played a key role with ball and bat.
He remained not out after scoring 38 runs off 39 balls and smashed four boundaries and two huge sixes during his innings.
Shakib Al Hasan scored 29 runs while Mahmudullah and Anamul Haque scored 14 runs each.

The win in the first match would have boosted Bangladesh’s confidence.
Moreover, they have not lost an ODI series at home for six years.
Their spinners are in fine form and they will fancy their chances of pulling off an upset series victory.
We predict that the Bangladesh Tigers will beat India in the 2nd ODI.
