Aston Villa did Gareth Southgate a favor when the England manager watched the Lions host Manchester United on Monday.
The Lions removed Southgate’s image off the big screens after he was booed by fans at Villa Park. United beat Villa, 2-1.
Fans were surprised why the crowd reacted negatively against the 53-year-old manager around the stadium.

“Why is Southgate being booed though? Hands off the best coach in Europe,” a fan said, as reported by The Sun.
“Ridiculous,” another fan added.
Rasmus Hojlund opened the scoring for United in the 17th minute before Douglas Luiz responded in the 67th minute. However, Scott McTominay beat Villa keeper Emi Martinez for the game-winner in the 86th minute for the visitors.
The win enabled United to post their third-straight victory for sixth at 41 points. Villa was denied of fourth place with the loss by staying in fifth place at 46 points.
