Ronaldo appears in a MrBeast YouTube video
The Al Nassr captain participated in a football shooting contest organized by YouTube star MrBeast.
Ronaldo faced off against Khalid, a subscriber of MrBeast’s YouTube channel.
MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, offered a $1 million prize to the first person to hit three targets placed along the goal.
“I put my lucky shirt with MrBeast,” the 39-year-old said, who was wearing an Al Nassr jersey with MrBeast written on the back.
“I’m his [Ronaldo’s] number one fan,” Khalid said ahead of the contest.
When MrBeast asked Khalid what the odds were that he could beat Ronaldo, he said: “Honestly I think it’s 50-50.”
The superstar forward then replied: “I like him to be confident.”
Ronaldo loses out on $1 million prize
Ronaldo and Khalid took turns attempting to hit the targets.
The Portugal international missed all of his attempts, while Khalid successfully hit two out of his first four shots.
On the brink of victory, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner encouraged Khalid to go for the final shot, prompting MrBeast to remark, “I think Ronaldo wants me to lose a million dollars.”
With his fifth shot, Khalid struck the target for the third time, securing the $1 million prize. He celebrated as Ronaldo hugged him and said, “I’m so proud of you, my friend.”
Meanwhile, Ronaldo was one of several legendary athletes in the video who challenged regular fans to try to stop them from winning the prize.
NFL icon Tom Brady, Olympic athlete Noah Lyles, professional golfer Bryson DeChambeau, and MLB star Bryce Harper also participated, challenging contestants in a series of games.
