Furthermore, the 24-time Grand Slam champion announced his early confirmation to the event on social media on Wednesday.
Moereover, Djokovic’s participation will come after his expected appearance in the season-opening Australian Open next month.
The Qatar Open is set on February 17.
Interestingly, the world No. 7 is determined to land a title early after missing out on a major for the first time this year since 2017.

Moreover, Djokovic’s announcement means his partnership with his new coach Andy Murray will be tested early.

It remains to be seen if Djokovic will stick to his former-rival-turned coach beyond that.
Djokovic will have world No.1 Jannik Sinner, No.5 Daniil Medvedev, and No.8 Andrey Rublev as his closest rivals in Qatar so far.
Meanwhile, retired British tennis great Tim Henman was surprised but approves the Djokovic-Murray partnership.

Furthermore, Henman finds it “interesting to see how long” the Djokovic-Murray partnership lasts.

“I think from Djokovic’s point of view, it’s probably a smart move. It will be interesting how long that partnership lasts for,” Henman told Sky Sports.
“Andy knows all the opponents Djokovic is going uo against. Andy has always been a great tactician and been a very good strategically,” he added.
Djokovic named Murray as his coach after he parted ways with former coach Goran Ivanisevic in March.
