ALCARAZ REACHES FOURTH ROUND, TO GET KANGAROO TATTOO IF HE WINS TITLE

Sabalenka survived a faltering serve to hold off Clara Tauson of Denmark, 7-6(7-5), 6-4 at Rod Laver Arena.
Moreover, the Belarussian world No.1 women’s singles player was also broken four times before putting away her Danish opponent after more than two hours.
Furthermore, Sabalenka took control in the second set after a tense opening set to advance to the fourth round.
“I’m just super happy that I was able to stay in the game and I was able to push myself, honestly, to the limit to get this win,” she said.
Sabalenka will next face 17-year-old Mirra Andreeva, who defeated Magdalena Frech of Poland, 6-2, 1-6, 6-2.
OSAKA OUT, RETIRES DUE TO ABDOMINAL INJURY IN MATCH AGAINST BENCIC
Furthermore, Naomi Osaka is out of Melbourne after she retired in her match against Switzerland’s Belinda Bencic.
Moreover, the Japanese-Haitian former world No.1 dropped the opening set, 7-6(3) on a tiebreak, when the umpire confirmed the sudden end of the match.
Osaka sustained an abdominal injury while leading, 6-5, before a trainer gave her a pill during a changeover.
However, the former world No.1 could not continue further despite managing to finish the first set.
“At this moment, I just feel for Naomi (Osaka). I saw her struggling a little bit in the end of the set,” Bencic said.
“Obviously, it’s not the way you would like that match to end,” she added.
