SHARMA RIFT RUMORS AGAINST GAMBHIR IS ‘WHAT INDIAN CRICKET IS ALL ABOUT’: COACH

Sharma rift rumors against Gambhir, the coach said, just showed “what Indian cricket is all about.”

Furthermore, rumors that Sharma, Gambhir, and Ajit Agarkar not getting along was not lost on the coach during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Moreover, Gambhir did not directly refuted the rumors but he addressed the matter after India’s fifth T20I Test against England on Sunday.

“They have played a lot of cricket with each other. More importantly, a month back, there were a couple of other rumore flying around,” said Gambhir, laughing.

“That’s what Indian cricket is all about. There will be so many things said about the dressing room when thing are not going okay,” he added.

The coach was convinced that India’s 4-1 win over England at the T20I Tour showed that “once resaults start going in your favor, things start falling in place.”

INDIA TEAM HAS NO ‘FEAR LOSING A GAME OF CRICKET’ WITH ‘HIGH-RISK’ APPROCH, SAYS COACH

India has no “fear losing a game of cricket,” the coach said, by applying a “high-risk” approach.

Moreover, Gambhir noted that the players are all in on what he wants to do with their type of game, as shown by India’s attacking stlye against England.

Furthermore, the coach wants his team “to get 250-260 regularly” in the T20I (Twenty20 International) format.

“That’s th kind of T20 cricket we want to play. We don’t want to fear losing a game of cricket,” Gambhir said.

“We want to play high-risk, high-reward cricket. And these guys have adopted tht ideology real well,” he added.

AGGRESSIVE APPROACH COULD GIVE INDIA ‘BIG REWARDS IN BIG TOURNAMENTS: GAMBHIR

Furthermore, India’s aggressive approach, Gambhir believes, could give his team “big rewards” in big tournaments.

Moreover, the coach is unmindful of his tem going out for a low score in some matches while attempting to reach 250.

“We want to try and get to 250-260 regularly. And in trying to do that, there’ll be games when we’ll get bundled out for 120-130,” Gambhir said.

“Unless and until you don’t play that high-risk cricket, you won’t get those big rewards as well. Most importantly, we’re on the right track,” he added.

Additionally, the coach is open to use that same approach as India prepares for its Champions Trophy 2025 campaign in Dubai this month.
