TITANS VS ROYALS MATCHUP SAW SUDHARSAN POWER GUJARAT TO SMASHING WIN
The Titans vs Royals matchup saw Sudharsan power Gujarat to the smashing 58-run win.
Furthermore, the 23-year-old top-order batter dazzled the crowd in Ahmedabad with his 53-ball 82 to jumpstart the Titans’ offense.
Moreover, Jos Buttler (36), Shanrukh Khan (36), and Rahul Tewatia (24) also churned out impressive performances to complement Sudharsan’s exploits.
Their efforts enabled Gujarat to reach a formidable 217/6, while the visitors were bowled out for 159 in 19.1 overs.
Sudharsan also came through with eight boundaries and three sixes to comprise Gujarat’s majestic total.

ROYALS ‘WENT OFF THE PLAN IN DEATH OVERS,’ SAYS CAPTAIN SAMSON
Meanwhile, the Royals “went off the plan in death overs,” says team captain Sanju Samson.
Moreover, the skipper Rajastahn allowed 72 runs in the final five overs that enabled Gujarat to rise from 145 for 2 to 217 for 6.
Furthermore, Samson Jofra Archer dismissing Shubman Gill for 2 with lots of movement and bounce on offer was a good start but things took a different turn.
“We just went off the plan in the death overs. I think, a few plans, we prepared something else, the bowlers executed something else,” the captain said.
“So, we need to look back maybe tomorrow or day after in the meeting and we’ll come back and try to execute the same,” he added.
ROYALS’ BATTING COACH NOTES ‘EXECUTION DOESN’T GO THE WAY YOU WANT IT TO’
The Royals’ batting coach noted that the team’s “execution doesn’t go the way you want it to.”
Furthermore, Sairah Bahutule was counting that the par score would only go around “180 to 200” but the Titans had 217.
Moreover, the batting coach lauded Sudharsan for coming out of the “powerplay very strongly.”
“Sai Sudharsan came out of the powerplay very strongly and they had better partnerships than what we did, and that’s how they got a total which was big,” Bahutule said.
“T20 (Twenty20) is a format where sometimes the execution doesn’t go the way you want it to. They (RR’s bowling attack) obviously had plans but unfortunately the execution didn’t happen the way they wanted,” he added.
