Griezmann pens extension with Atletico Madrid
The LaLiga side announced Griezmann’s extension on Monday.
ESPN reported that Griezmann, 34, was likely to remain at Atletico this summer, despite his interest in playing in MLS.

He has openly expressed his desire to play in MLS in the future, calling it an ‘objective’ to ‘end my career there’ because of his love for U.S. sports.
The 2018 World Cup winner’s contract was set to expire in June 2026.
Atletico legend
Griezmann is Atletico’s all-time top scorer with 197 goals after spending nine seasons at the club.
Griezmann has had two spells with Atletico — he spent five seasons at the club between 2014 and 2019, then moved to Barcelona for two years before returning to Atletico.

The midfielder scored eight goals in 38 league appearances this season, as Diego Simeone’s side finished third in LaLiga, and 16 goals in all competitions.
Griezmann has won the Europa League, UEFA Super Cup, and Spanish Supercopa with Atlético, but has yet to win either LaLiga or the Champions League.
