“Just proud about myself, the way that I approached the match mentally,” Alcaraz said.
“Tactically think I did it pretty well from the first to the last point. I maintained my level during the whole match,” he added.

Furthermore, he still found solace to a supporting crowd that was hoping for a double celebration after Paolini won the women’s singles title on Saturday.
“You gave me a lot of energy, lot of courage to be here on court; I tried with everything I had. It was something very, very special. Thank you,” Sinner told the crowd.
“It was a great week for me. Some matches incredibly well, some matches could be better. But this is tennis,” he added.

“”It doesn’t seem real to me. I came here as a kid to see this tournament, but winning it and holding up this trophy wasn’t even in my dreams,” Paolini said.
“The crowd has been incredible. It’s been two incredible weeks and it’s not finished yet,” she added.
Additionally, Paolini combined with Sara Errani to win the women’s doubles title Sunday.
This makes her the second player since Monica Seles in 1990 to win both Italian Open women’s singles and doubles titles.
