COLE RECEIVES MEDALLION FOR HALL OF FAME INDUCTION
Cole was inducted after he received a medallion on Monday.
The 43-year-old was part of the “Invincibles” Arsenal side that went unbeaten throughout the 2003-04 season.
Cole compiled 147 clean sheets, 15 goals, and 31 assists in 385 Premier League appearances.
He played in a 15-season career with Arsenal and Chelsea.
“I’m honored to join the Premier League Hall of Fame. It’s humbling to be rewarded at the end of your career,” Cole said.
COLE ‘PRIVILEGED’ TO JOIN SHEARER, HENRY IN HALL
Cole was proud to join legends such as Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Didier Drogba, and Rio Ferdinand in the Hall.
“I’m privileged to be in their company,” the 43-year-old Birmingham coach said.
Premier League Chief Executive Richard Masters said Cole thrived on “his defensive and attacking qualities.”
“If you ask people for the best full-back in Premier League history, many of them would name Ashley Cole,” Masters said.
