AUSTRALIA SAVORS 3-1 VICTORY WITH ‘A FEW BEERS,’ SAYS WEBSTER

Australia savors its hard-fought victory by taking on “a few beers,” says all-rounder Beau Webster, to mark a joyous occasion.

Furthermore, most of the Australian cricketers went hard in celebrations a day after the clinching match.

Moreover, the 31-year-old international cricketer cited “a brilliant night” that deserved a party-like atmosphere until the wee hours of the morning.

“It’s sunk in a little bit overnight. The celebrations were good,” Webster told the Sydney Mornin Herald.

“We had a few beers in the SCG members’ bar. It was great, great week and capped off with a brilliant night,” he added.

GAVASKAR MAKES REQUEST TO BCCI AFTER EMBARRASSING LOSS

Moreover, Sunii Gavaskar made a request to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) after the team’s embarrassing loss.

Furthermore, the 75-year-old Indian cricket legend wants the BCCI to stop the Indian cricket team’s dependence on “star culture” in forming a team.

Gavaskar cited the need for the best cricketers to open up their schedule for national team duty regardless of their stature.

“Most importantly, the star culture has to end. Total commitment to Indian cricket is non-negotiable,” Gavaskar said.

“Players must make themselves available every single time unless there’s a genuine medical emergency. If someone isn’t fully committed, they shouldn’t be considered for selection,” he added.

BCCI ALSO URGED TO ‘STOP ACTING LIKE ADMIRERS AND PUT THEIR FOOT DOWN’

Furthermore, the BCCI was also urged by Gavaskar to “stop acting like admirers and put their foot down” in terms of picking the right players.

Moreover, the former Indian national cricket team captain called on an end on “pampering” players who are not present for the team when it counts.

“We don’t need players who are partly here and partly elsewhere. It’s time to stop pampering anyone,” Gavaskar said.

“The cricket board needs to stop acting ike admirers and put their foot down. They must tell players that Indian cricket comes first,” he added.

The loss means India will miss the World Test Championship 2025 final, as Australia next faces South Africa for all the marbles at Lord’s in June.
