It’s time for Arsenal, Barca, and Borussia Dortmund to go under their tests in the highest level of European competition.

The most anticipated clash this week will be Inter Milan vs Atletico Madrid.

Last season’s finalist, Inter, will host two-time finalist Atletico in the first leg in Italy.

In terms of league performances, Inter have been formidable and on their course to reclaim the Scudetto. At the same time, Diego Simeone’s side struggled to maintain a spot in La Liga’s top four.

However, Los Colchoneros enjoy a good run in Europe and aim to improve the Champions League’s record, having failed to reach the semi-finals since 2027.

Predictions

  • Inter 1-1 Atletico Madrid
  • PSV Eindhoven 0-1 Borussia Dortmund

Back in the competition for the first time since 2016, Arsenal are set to take on the 2004 winners Porto.

The Gunners have been in a good run, having smashed at Premier League against Liverpool, West Ham, and Burnley before a trip to Portugal.

Another must-watch game is Napoli vs Barcelona, as the two league champions clash at Naples.

Both sides are falling behind in their own leagues and struggling in their own ways. While Catalan’s manager Xavi Hernandez had announced his departure at the end of the season, Serie A giants Napoli have just sacked their boss Walter Mazzarri.

His replacement will be Francesco Calzona, who has signed a contract until June – his first game will be against Barcelona in the Champions League. Well, not a very good time for a wind of change….

Predictions

  • Porto 0-2 Arsenal
  • Napoli 1-2 Barcelona
