PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is expected to lead the Azzurri as the new team captain.
Also making an appearance is Atalanta striker Gianluca Scamacca, fresh from winning the Europa League.
Scamacca did not play in Italy’s friendlies against Ecuador and Venezuela in March.
Spalletti has also included six players from Serie A champions Inter Milan: Francesco Acerbi, Alessandro Bastoni, Matteo Darmian, Federico Dimarco, Nicolo Barella, and Davide Frattesi.
Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori will make his debut for the senior team in this upcoming European tournament.
