Jannik Sinner tops 2024 ATP prize money list

by Noe

Jannik Sinner is off to a strong start after the world No.4 topped the ATP Prize Money Leaders that was released recently.

Four of the top five players based on the latest ATP rankings are on the top five prize money list.  Interestingly, world No.2 Carlos Alcaraz failed to make it to the top five.

The Spaniard, who is at No.13, failed to reach the final in the recent Australian Open which lowered his stock in the list. Alcaraz, however,  has collected career earnings of $27.4 million, making him fifth in the overall career list.

Hubert Hurkacz

The Polish rising star is one of only two players not in the latest top five ATP rankings who made it on this list. Hurhacz made $827,725 in 2023 and after the Australian Open. Expect him to stay on this list due to his strong upside.

Novak Djokovic

It is a surprise that Novak Djokovic does not top this list. So far. The world No.1 got $955,655 last year but failed to defend his Australian Open title last month. Don’t count out the Serbian superstar, however, of still leading this list when the dust settles.

Daniil Medvedev

The world No. 3 reached the Australian Open final only to fall short against eventual champion Jannik Sinner. But this was enough to push Medvedev to get $1,153,162 in winnings so far. The Russian world No.3 still has a lot of tournaments to move up in this list, though.

Alexander Zverev

The German dynamo reached the Australian Open semifinals to raise his winnings to $1,401,00 so far. Zverev, the current world No.6, is still searching for his first major. Once he gets one, there’s no doubt he can top this list soon.

Jannik Sinner

After claiming his first major by hosting the Australian Open title, Jannik Sinner longs to win more. The world No.4 was rewarded with $2,105,775 for his latest win and he is far from contented. Expect the Italian star to chase Djokovic as world No.1 and stay on top of this list after December.
