LEICESTER POSSIBLY HIT FOR TWO POTENTIAL FFP BREACHES

Leicester may have broken the £105 million limits the Premier League imposed on team losses for the previous three seasons. The rule calls for a team to incur a  £35-million loss per season.

The Foxes may have also exceeded the £83 million of combined losses a team is allowed to make over three seasons, including this current campaign. An English Football League club is only allowed to make £13 million in losses per season.

The points deduction will be implemented if Leicester is promoted back into the Premier League.

MARESCA, PLAYERS TO FOCUS ON SECURING PROMOTION

Leicester players were told to focus on the games in securing promotion, as the club has flourished under manager Enzo Maresca. Maresca, a retired former footballer, was previously one of Pep Guardiola’s assistant managers at Manchester City before his current post.

Leicester is not the only club in this predicament. Several outfits are getting frustrated over the delay in when FFP cases are settled after a long investigation process.

Everton and Nottingham Forest have also been reported to be under probe for breaches of FFP cases. Everton was slapped with a points deduction earlier in the season.
