“For sure, it’s nicr to have such a great athlete (Sabalenka) as an opponent, both pushing each other and creating some great entertainment sometimes when we are playing against each other,” Swiatek said.
She later told the “Everyone with Pavel Kisly” podcast that their rivalry is “something the WTA has been missing for a while.”

FANS EXPECT TWO STARS ON DEEP RUNS IN FRENCH OPEN 2025
WTA Tour fans expect the two stars to go on deep runs when the French Open 2025 unfolds in May.
Furthermore, Swiatek and Sabalenka were on a collission course to meet at the Australian Open final until Madison Key spoiled it.
Moreover, Keys defeated Swiatek in the semifinals before beating Sabalenka in the final for her first title in Melbourne and her first major.
WTA TOP 2 RIVALRY COULD RIVAL SINNER-ALCARAZ ATP RIVALRY
The Swiatek-Sabalenka rivalry in the WTA could rival the one brewing in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Tour.
Furthermore, current ATP world No.1 Jannik Sinner and Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz shared the four major titles between themselves last year.
Moreover, German Alexander Zverev supplanted Alcaraz for No.2, but the former lost to Sinner in the Melbourne final last month.
That means no other man other than Sinner or Alcaraz has won a slam in the last five majors.
Sabalenka and Swiatek are expected to bounce back from Melbourne and gun for another major at Roland Garros for their first slam for 2025.
